JURBY

Just to the west of Jurby West, off B5, A10 and A14.

Situated on A5 between Ballasalla and Castletown. Airport car park prices very reasonable (first half hour free). Viewing from cafeteria on ground level and viewing terrace on top of newly refurbished and extended terminal building. As you enter airport at main roundabout there are hangars on your left with some aircraft normally parked outside - access unlikely. Visiting light aircraft park just to the west of main terminal and are photographable through fence alongside. Good views of whole airfield can be had by driving round to Derbyhaven (A12) at back of airport. Take first left at roundabout past King William college and then left at bottom and follow road all the way (there is a car park on right just by approach to 03 if it is in use). Carry on round and take left at end of road and follow road to Manx Flyers flying club (do not go into car park as it is private). Park along roadside with good views of landing/taking off and taxiing. You can also see into Manx engineering hangars if they are open. There is a further viewing spot to the north of the airfield via the A11 on the Ballasalla side (follow Industrial Estate signs on the bend just by the railway level-crossing by Ballasalla station)
